Kent County Council kicks off journey sharing with 10 Faxi group licenses

Kent County Council identified a need for a journey sharing platform such as Faxi, and has signed up for 10 groups, with the view to potentially purchasing licenses for up to 80 groups.

The Council is looking to encourage sustainable transport options for communities in and around Kent, and by working with Faxi, will be able to offer journey sharing groups for schools, businesses, clubs and more.

Tom Pierpoint, Team Leader of Transport Innovations at Kent County Council, said: “Kent County Council has always been keen to encourage car and journey sharing and is particularly interested in Faxi as it has the ability to grow virally through the community, increasing its reach and impact. Faxi has the potential to reduce congestion, costs and emissions while offering alternative transport choices to the travelling public of Kent.”
